Our hallmark performance – The Will to Survive: The Transatlantic Slave Trade @ Kings College London, to mark the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Act.
A multimedia performance featuring quadrille dancing, African drumming, emancipatory music, video-clips and talks that help to tell the story of the slave trade and the enslaved resilience, resourcefulness, determination and will to survive.
This event was the first for King’s and was a resounding success. We were thanked by the Principal, The Equality and Diversity Department and The Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery for sharing this important piece of history and allowing King’s to host such a memorable and important performance.
